Host the Children of
NPH USA, formerly Friends of the Orphans, is a nonprofit
organization committed to
supporting the physical, spiritual and emotional needs of
orphaned, abandoned and disadvantaged
children in Latin America and the Caribbean. More than 3,300
nine different countries are supported by our network of homes,
called Nuestros Pequeños
Hermanos (NPH, Spanish for “Our Little Brothers and Sisters”).
Each year, a music and dance troupe from one of the NPH homes
visits the United
States to raise funds and awareness for their brothers and
sisters in our annual
“Pequeño Tour.” They share with us, through traditional song and
dance, the culture of
Mexico, Latin America and the Caribbean.
This year, NPH USA and NPH will be visiting the Chicagoland area
March 6 through Monday, March 24! Our Lady of the Woods parish
will host 14 children
and chaperones from NPH Nicaragua for the second half of their
visit. They will have a
full schedule during this time, performing at various locations
throughout the Chicagoland
area and presenting at all Masses at Our Lady of the Woods the
We need host families! Host families open their homes and hearts
guests from NPH during the time they are hosted by the parish.
